About Me

I was born in 1960 in the Ruhr Area (Germany). My first career choice was to work as a teacher.
From 1992 to 2006 I lived in Barcelona (Spain) and worked as a German teacher, amongst others for the Deutsche Schule Barcelona.
I have always been a dog enthusiast and long time dog owner and in 2003 I reached my educational limits on my own new "problematic" dog. I bought the first book about dog behaviour and dog education and this was the beginning. I acquired further credits through seminars and practical courses at the dog school Hundeschule Aschaffenburg (Petra Führmann, Iris Franzke) in cooperation with the Hundeakademie Darmstadt (Perdita Lübbe-Scheuermann), and I attended a practical course at the Hundefarm Eifel (Günther Bloch, Angelika Lanzerath) as well as training days in Barcelona with the team of Martin Rütter. Furthermore, I studied animal psychology with main focus on dogs at the Akademie für Tiernaturheilkunde ATN (Academy for Animal Naturopathy), Swiss/Germany, and at the same time I read intensely technical literature.
After I got our own "problematic" dog under control, I got to know the Fundación Trifolium (Canopolis) in Barcelona (Garraf).
In a 6 ha wide woodland about 120 dogs live in self-selected packs of different dimensions. I could observe the dogs and learn a lot about dog behaviour. Furthermore, I trained some of those dogs. At the same time, I also gave group and private training classes in Barcelona, partially in cooperation with Joan Carles Prats.
From November 2006 to February 2010 I have been living in the Marbella area and there I established the Canangi dogschool. I was a member and a consultant for dog behaviour of the local animal protection organisation Triple A. During my Marbella time I wrote some articles for the animal magazine EXTRAPET as well as 2 times a month for the german newspaper CSN. I visited several workshops in Germany and Spain (inter alia with Daniel Weigend, Lobopark Antequera). I gave several radio interviews (Onda Cero, Onda Cero International, Radio del Sol, Radio Torre del Mar, Radio Casares, Punto Radio) and I have been invited to Marbella TV.
Soon I will publish articles and video clips in the canine internet portal XALCAN.

In my current "human-animal-pack" there is my husband, our Rhodesian Ridgeback male Tarzan, our mongrel male Hardy, our female Parson-Russel-Terrier Krümel, two cats, Floh and Püppi, and me.
Our Parson-Russel-Terrier Bicho died some months ago eating a poisoned sausage on a walk.
