My concern is to help animals as much as possible. My specialised knowledge is just about dogs, for this reason I try to support the animal protection organisation Triple A as I can.
The puppies from Triple A are well socialised with other dogs, since they live in group. But they also need to be prepared for their future life in a human family, possibly with children, in an apartment with lots of unfamiliar sounds, in the city with lots of strange and loud objects.
In order to make the puppies socialising, I let them having a contact with the most different visual, acoustic and tactile external challenges on a "play ground". By playing, they get accustomed to collar and leash, they are brushed, their body is checked, i.e. they learn to be touched by strangers, they get into a car and have contact with well-balanced adult dogs. The command "to come" is strengthened by a treat reward, the commands "Sit", "Down" and "Look" are introduced in a kindly way.
When I am training young and adult dogs, I focus on the capacity to lead them by the leash, on orientation towards the owner and on basic commands such as "Sit" and "Come".
Even if it is just a little bit, I hope that in this way the dogs are prepared for their future lives in a family.
